The app
Privacy Policy
Applies to the Uncharted Tribe Collective app for iOS and its Home Screen widget. Last updated 4 August 2026.
The short version: the app has no accounts, no analytics and no advertising identifiers. It asks Shopify for the catalogue, keeps a few preferences on your device, and hands you to Shopify’s own checkout when you buy something.
What stays on your device
These are stored in the app’s own storage on your iPhone. They are not sent to us, and they are removed when you delete the app.
- Your territory — whether you browse as Coastal, Outdoor or Global, so the app opens where you left it.
- Tribe membership — a single yes/no flag that unlocks early access to a release. It is not an account. There is no email address, no password and no profile behind it.
- Release reminders — the collections you asked to be reminded about.
- Your cart — the identifier of the cart Shopify created for you, so it survives closing the app.
- A cached copy of the catalogue — so the app opens with something on screen before the network answers.
The widget reads a copy of the current release schedule that the app writes to shared storage. It collects nothing and sends nothing.
Notifications
Release reminders are scheduled by iOS on your device at the time you set them. They are not push notifications, we do not operate a notification server for the app, and we never receive a device token. If you decline the permission prompt, every other part of the app still works.
What goes to Shopify
Our store runs on Shopify. Browsing sends product requests to Shopify’s Storefront API; those requests carry no personal information about you.
When you check out — including with Apple Pay or Shop Pay — you are in Shopify’s checkout, and Shopify collects what an order requires: your name, shipping and billing address, email address and payment details. We see the resulting order. We never see your full card number: with Apple Pay, Apple passes a device-specific token to the payment processor instead.
Shopify processes that information as our processor, under Shopify’s privacy policy. Orders placed through our website are covered by the store privacy notice.
Our products are made to order and printed and shipped by a print-on-demand fulfilment partner, which receives the name and shipping address needed to deliver your parcel — and nothing else.
What Apple tells us
If you have opted in to sharing with developers, Apple gives us aggregate, anonymised App Store and crash statistics. We cannot identify you from them, and you can turn this off in Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.
What we never do
- No advertising identifier (IDFA) and no App Tracking Transparency prompt, because there is nothing to track.
- No third-party analytics, attribution or advertising SDKs.
- No location access, no contacts, no photo library, no microphone, no camera.
- No selling or sharing of personal information, in the sense those words carry under the CCPA.
Children
The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Your rights
Deleting the app removes everything it kept on your device. Order records live with Shopify; to see, correct, export or delete what an order holds, write to us and we will action it. Depending on where you live, the GDPR or CCPA may give you those rights explicitly; we honour the same requests either way.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects what the app collects, we will update the date at the top and describe the change in the release notes for the version that introduces it.
